Hello world. As all my friends in Facebook know, I skipped school today. It has been raining since last night, so basically there's nothing much I can do. Mom is not well, and the day is totally dull and I realize Mom and mother nature somehow live in harmony. Whenever Mom is well and healthy, the day would be really nice and sunny and warm. And usually by weathers, I can predict whether Mom cooks for lunch or not. Weathers do affect Mom's mood. And yeah, Mom still hasn't cooked for lunch today - it's almost 1 p.m.
So, rather than keep on sleeping and snuggling and making my butt looks bigger, I got up and went to bath and listened to Taylor Swift. Rainy days have always been connected to Taylor Swift's songs - it is something that only art persons can figure this.
I know I'm growing up and I'm sixteen and some of my sixteen-year-old friends think that Taylor Swift isn't a suitable person to be listened to now, as she keeps singing about love, fairytale and stuff. But somehow I think she's still relevant. And I admit I grew up listening to her.
Reasons why Taylor Swift is still relevant ;
- She sings from her heart and she sings about everything we want to listen. Ex-boyfriends, crushes, love at first sight, long-distance love, complicated love etc. Magically, her songs are kinda related to us. And hence, we keep listening to her.
- She sings about true love - probably the biggest issue in the whole world. She's like the only person on earth who sings sincerely, without needing to add stuff like get drunk, sex, sexy girls, douche guys, rob a bank, get wild etc in her songs.
- She sings about her experiences in her past loves and somehow she wants us to learn form her mistakes.
Frankly, I can't find any other reasons, but to me, no matter how hard a person is, no matter how much you try to push love aside, no matter how many times you tell yourself you don't believe in love, no matter how much you try to listen to Paramore and be as positive as you can, you just can't deny that you NEED love, aren't you?
So, technically we still need Taylor Swift in our playlists.
